Who are The Upbeats
Steve ( HENDO ) Drums /Backing vocals
Steve was the driving force behind the formation of The Upbeats. Having left a gulf after leaving The Start - he was constantly being asked to drum with bands but his love of playing Ska / Northern Soul / Reggae / MOD and new wave anthems and being heavily involved in the scene has led to the bands formation.
So he contacted a few extremely talented friends and muso's and low and behold within a couple of hours The Upbeats were off the ground running.
Steve is a also a busy member of Essex Scooterists and belongs to Thurrock Scooter Club. If you see a bright pink scooter. chances are you will see Steve.
Steve works in the entertainment industry full time as part of HPE. one of Essex's fastest growing entertainment companies.
Pete ( HERBS ) Bass man and backing vocals
Pete and Steve have been a rhythm section in The Heaters & Supercharged. Pete is the utter professional providing thunderous bass lines and a stage show / energy that defies belief.

Terry ( GIRTY ) Vocals
Terry - in his own words ......

Graham ( GMAN ) MD, trumpet, flugelhorn, trombone, Keys, Percussion & Backing Vocals
Gman needs no introduction. Top drawer musician and tutor. Multi talented - all round good guy -
Luke - Guitar
Luke is a fantastic guitarist / producer / songwriter in his own context - still a member of The Heaters and Leaf Hound. he brings an amazing sound and pro quality to the band.
Mike ( MAP ) Guitar
Sharing guitar duties with Luke. Steve has played with Mike in a number of bands / gigs /deps etc. A fantastic addition to the band.
Xander Sax
Xander will be laying down the Sax with the upbeats.
Nicki ( GRUMPS ) Merchandising / Management
Nicki - (Grumps ) as she is affectionately known to all. will be heading up merchandising and she also handles the management side of things.
Nicki's input frees Steves time up from HPE to concentrate on The Upbeats and their rapid growth is down to her unwavering support.
